Honored
Recently I've been bestowed with the the title, EMU College of Technology, 2008-2009 outstanding aviation student of the year. I'm honored, and I see it as a tool that could open up some good opportunities for me. I plan on taking full advantage of it and looking into some internships and possibly jobs for both the short an long term.
Another interesting thing is that I've joined Alpha Eta Rho - Sigma Chi, which is our chapter of the national aviation fraternity. I never, ever thought I'd be joining a fraternity in my lifetime, but I see it as a good way to be involved, do some networking, and have another positive addition to my resume. I didn't have to sign my name in blood or be subject to any ridiculous hazing so I guess it's going well so far, haha.
